Case 4: Optomap® Color Fundus Image OD
Case 4: A 24 yo HF presented for follow-up of RP diagnosed 3 years ago. Patient reported difficulty with mobility, a history of “bumping into things”, and trouble seeing at night. Her visual complaints were more pronounced in the left eye than the right eye and her BVCA was 20/25-OD and 20/50+2 OS. Abundant bone spicule pigmentation outside the arcades, arterial narrowing, and macular pigmentary changes are seen with Optos Color images. Octopus Automated Goldmann perimetry revealed markedly reduced visual fields in both eyes greater in the left eye.
SD OCT macular scans revealed mild Cystic Macular Edema (CME) OU. Trusopt was prescribed BID OU. On 3 month follow-up, VAs were 20/20 OD and 20/25-OS, with improvement of the CME in the left eye. The right eye was stable.
