Case 1: Anterior Segment Photography
A 71-year-old white female presented for routine check-up. Several years earlier, she underwent uneventful cataract surgery and posterior chamber IOL implantation in both eyes. She had no pain or discomfort, and her vision was reported as very good in each eye. However, she did mention that her daughter reported that her right eye was red when she looked to the left for the last several weeks. Above, note the dilated vessels photographed at high magnification temporal to the limbus in the right eye. The larger vessels failed to constrict with neosynepherine eye drops. The other 3 quadrants of the right eye and all 4 quadrants of the left eye failed to demonstrate such dilated blood vessels.
