Presentation:
- Often remain asymptomatic until they grow large enough to affect neighboring structures
- Ciliary body melanomas are often large when they present
- Frequently have a sentinel vessel overlying
- Often have unilateral low IOP compared to fellow healthy eye
- Can present with anterior displacement of lens-iris diaphragm and secondary angle closure glaucoma
- Growth of the melanoma may induce lenticular astigmatism or cataract
- Erosion of the tumor into blood vessels in adjacent tissues can cause hyphema or vitreous hemorrhage
