My Retina Tracker: FREE Genetic Testing

My Retina Tracker Registry is provided by the Foundation Fighting Blindness, a US-based non-profit organization with the mission to help find treatments and cures for the inherited retinal diseases.

Foundation Fighting Blindness hosts My Retina Tracker Registry

For eye care professionals – This offers free genetic testing for over 20 degenerative retinal diseases including retinitis pigmentosa, Leber congenital amaurosis, Stargardt disease, Usher syndrome, Best disease, choroideremia, and achromatopsia, amongst others. You can become a provider that offers this testing in office for no cost to the practice.  Sign up on their website.

For researchers and patients – The registry shares de-identified information within the IRD research and clinical communities about people with IRDs to help accelerate the discovery of treatments and cures. Using the data in My Retina Tracker Registry helps understand how common each type of retinal disease is, how it impacts people’s lives, how the disease progresses, the genes that cause the disease, and helps researchers and companies to efficiently find people who might be interested in participating in research studies and clinical trials.
