Pigment Dispersion Syndrome (PDS)

• A condition in which pigment from the iris is released within the anterior chamber
• Pigment can migrate to the angle and cause increased intraocular pressure by decreasing aqueous outflow
• There is an estimated 30-50% chance of patients with PDS to develop pigmentary glaucoma in their lifetime.
