Case History:
A 23-year-old Hispanic male presented to our clinic for an urgent exam with complaint of constant, severe pain and photophobia OU. The patient acknowledged that he was diagnosed with Cat Scratch Disease (CSD) by an ophthalmologist in Trinidad 6 months ago. He was put on a course of systemic antibiotics as well as topical and systemic steroids upon initial diagnosis that he had since completed. He was unable to tell us the name of the medications that he took or the dosages. The only medication he was currently taking was topical pheniramine maleate 0.315% – naphazoline hydrochloride 0.02675% recommended by a pharmacist when he arrived in the United States. The patient denied any immunocompromising conditions.
