Case 1: DiopsysTM Nova-DN

Case 1: A 5-year-old child was referred for consultation because a trial of direct patching did not improve visual acuity in his “amblyopic” right eye. BCVA was 20/100-2 and 20/30 with -1.75-1.75 X 180 OD and pl -1.75 X 180 OS. His mom reports that she first noticed the right eye turn out at about age 2. Because of reports of hyperactivity and a limited attention span, VEPs were obtained prior to any other testing.
Note that with no significant anisometropia or constant unilateral strabismus, the diagnosis of amblyopia is not supported.
