CASE 1:
History / Chief Complaint:

  • A 57-year old African American male with degenerative myopia presents for a follow up for glaucoma suspicion secondary to asymmetric optic nerves
  • Seen initially in Primary Care in 2020 and second visit for glaucoma evaluation 6 months later
  • The patient has no family history of glaucoma and has never used IOP lowering medications
  • History of decreased BCVA OS due to previous macular CNVM that has been stable and inactive

Glaucoma Profile:

  • Thin pachs 485/472
  • Gonio open to CB 360 OD and OS
  • IOP Trend:
    • OD 20 mmHg (2020) → 23 mmHg (3 months later)
    • OS 18 mmHg (2020) → 23 mmHg (3 months later)

Clinical Findings:

  • Rx: OD: -17.00 -3.25 x 180 (BCVA: 20/40), OS: BAL (BCVA: 8/225)
  • IOP 6 months from LEE: OD & OS 17 mmHg
