Case 1: Optomap® plus with ResMax™ Images
The left eye has a larger cup than the right, and a far more extensive field loss. However, similar wedge RNFL defects are not observable in the left eye because nearly all of the RNFL has been lost. As a general rule, RNFL defects are easier to observe when adjacent to areas of normal RNFL. Extensive diffuse loss of the RNFL is sometimes very difficult to observe ophthalmoscopically or with fundus imaging.

There appear to be no RNFL wedge defects OS.

The RNFL can often be better visualized in green separation.

When comparing the RNFL in green separation and a higher contrast, it becomes apparent the RNFL OS is completely absent.

At the level of brightness and contrast, the normal RNFL appears to glow in the right eye and adjacent areas devoid of RNFL appear black.
