A horizontal OCT section through the macula in left eye also reveals a hyporeflective rectangular space under the fovea. The hyporeflective space measured approximately 800 microns wide in the horizontal OCT section. Note the hyporeflective zone includes an absence of the “inner reflection” of the RPE, but the RPE/BM complex remains intact (see page 10).
