Case 5: Comparison of GCC and Visual Fields

The GCC in the R.E. is nearly normal but does appear to exhibit some thinning inferior temporal to the fovea. This corresponds to the subtle superior nasal reduction in sensitivity at one point (circles). The GCC in the L.E. is quite thin inferior temporal to the fovea. Note the corresponding field loss in the superior nasal field. As in the vast majority of cases, GCC thinning correlates well to central visual field loss.
