The differences in the GCC pattern and
thickness on the 2 exams may be due to
changes in the amount and location of
fluid or to normal variability.
In summary: The Optovue
iWellnessExam detected both the loss of
GCC and RDs in a single scan. The
combination of a PED and RD is typical
or virtually pathognomonic for CSCR.
Since there was an improvement in both
visual acuity OD and the extent of the
detachments in OU, treatment options
(including PDT and anti-VEGF injections)
were again discussed but not
recommended. The patient was fully
educated about glaucoma, his need to
comply with the eye drop therapy, and
the CSCR. The importance of another
follow-up in one month was stressed.
