Clinical Use of MAIA™

MAIA™ uses 2 testing regimens to evaluate retinal threshold sensitivity.
The Fast Test is used to assess whether a patient can perceive the luminance level seen by normal subjects (supra-
threshold testing).
Test points appearing in green indicate that the patient responded at normal level, while orange and red values point to below-normal results. Additionally the Fast Test provides an assessment of fixation stability, by precisely recording eye movements 25 times per second throughout the testing procedure. Based on the spatial distribution of fixation, a patient’s fixation stability is judged as stable, relatively unstable or unstable.
This test takes 2-3 minutes per eye.
