Clinical Use of MAIA™

The Expert Test provides threshold visual field using a standard 4-2 staircase testing strategy and locates the preferential site of fixation.

The average threshold is computed and a color-coded outcome provides a statistical comparison with the corresponding response from normal subjects. Fixation stability is presented with more detailed explanation of percent fixations within each of the 1° and 2° circle of fixation and is reported as either stable, relatively unstable or unstable. Finally the Percent Reduced Thresholds index provides a global measure of retinal function and a color-coded outcome provides comparison with the corresponding response from normal subjects.

This test takes 4-6 minutes per eye.
