Comments and Conclusions

• Choroidal lesions in NF1, although invisible to ophthalmoscopy, may be rather common when imaged with MSI.
• Since all lesions in NF1 can convert from benign to malignant, MSI is an ideal technology to monitor NF1 patients.
• MSI may uncover myriad other choroidal and RPE abnormalities which are invisible to ophthalmoscopy.
• Enhanced depth imaging (EDI) SD OCT is also very useful to detect choroidal lesions and a comparison of the two technologies in NF1 deserves consideration.
