Elena Zaharova, OD
Dr. Elena Zaharova is currently an Ocular Disease Resident at SUNY State College of Optometry. Having graduated from University of Massachusetts with summa cum laude, she attained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry.
As a student, Elena spent the summer 2007 studying dispensing optics at Aalen University in Germany and serving the poor in El Salvador. Dr. Zaharova presented her medical research work as a first author at the 2009 ARVO and 2009 AAO conferences. Elena is a recipient of numerous educational awards, including Vistakon Student Travel Fellowship to the American Academy of Optometry Orlando 2009.
