Case 4: The horizontal OCT section demonstrates the characteristic splitting between the retinal layers in a retinoschisis. Patients with retinoschisis due to vitreal retinal traction may be candidates for vitrectomy and membrane peel as discussed in Retina Revealed Case #4 – Retinoschisis.
