Case 9: Optomap® Color Fundus Image OD

Case 9: A 44 yo HM presented for follow up of sectoral pericentral RP. Patient reported that he has no trouble seeing at night but does have a problem with depth perception in dim illumination. The patient has noticed that he needs to sit in the back of the movie theater “to see the whole picture.” Family history is negative for any vision problems. Genetic testing was acquired for this patient in the past, with no variations found in RHO, RD1, or RDS genes. Further genetic testing may be necessary in the future as more variations of these genes are found. BCVA was 20/25 OD and OS. Octopus Top Visual fields revealed a ring scotoma consistent with pigmentary changes.
