Acute vs. Chronic PAMM

Acute:

  • ICP/DCP capillary dropout or refilling
  • Hyper-reflectivity at the OPL
  • Retinal whitening

Chronic:

  • Middle retinal layer atrophy
  • Occasionally, spontaneous improvement

OCT 6 months after a PAMM lesion was visualized showing atrophy of the middle retinal layers with an intact overlying RNFL and intact EZ/OS-IS Junction/PIL and RPE.
