Acute vs. Chronic PAMM
Acute:
- ICP/DCP capillary dropout or refilling
- Hyper-reflectivity at the OPL
- Retinal whitening
Chronic:
- Middle retinal layer atrophy
- Occasionally, spontaneous improvement
OCT 6 months after a PAMM lesion was visualized showing atrophy of the middle retinal layers with an intact overlying RNFL and intact EZ/OS-IS Junction/PIL and RPE.
