BIuePeak™ blue laser Fundus Autofluoresence OD reveals subtle scattered dark zones (see white circle). Such hypoautofluorescence is believed to be due to a decrease of lipofuscin secondary to the loss of the RPE cells. The fovea appears normal with FAF. In contrast, one of the next cases reveals profound fundus changes with FAF.
