Case 1: Midsagittal MRI Scan Image

Aicardi syndrome is characterized by chorioretinal lacunae, infantile spasms and agenesis of the corpus callosum. A midsagital MRI of our patient revealed a completely normal corpus callosum. Though our patient does not have a history of infantile spasms or an abnormal corpus callosum, Aicardi syndrome cannot be completely ruled out due to the presence of the highly characteristic, if not pathognomonic, chorioretinal lacunae.
