Optos® FA revealed multiple areas of capillary avascularity (red arrows) and a
zone of surface neovascularization in a pattern which is often referred to as a “sea fan”.
Leakage from the “sea fan” is more apparent in later stage FA images.
Also note the telangiectatic vasculature in the temporal periphery.
