So why Is the RNFL normal Inferiorly with SD OCT when GDx, GCC
and mala MP confirm the loss??
SD OCT measures the optical reflectivity of the entire RNFL which includes the axons, blood vessels and gilal tissue. If we can measure Just the axons (and ignore the vessels and guai tissue) perhaps the measurement would be more accurate and reflect the inferior loss.
