CORDA software was designed to prevent the repetitive error or oversight highlighted above. it can be used to differentiate the several components of the RNFL. The software performs a discretization” analysis of the Images to quantify the number of pixels in each of 4 predeflned ranges of reflectivity: High Reflectivity (HRI & HR2) and Low Reflectivity (LRI & LR2). Research has shown that HR2 best represents the axons and LRI best represents the blood vessels.¹
