Case 13: Topcon 3D OCT Raster Scan Images

SD-OCT revealed a central serous detachment of the retina inferior to the macula. Note the accumulation of fluid between the RPE and neurosensory retina. Note the hyperreflective dots bordering the detachment at the photoreceptor outer segment layer. They are referred to as edema residues which are tiny yellowish deposits of granular material that contain photoreceptor outer segment debris. Later these edema residues coalesce together into dense confluent patches of amorphous extravascular fibrinous material.
