Case 1(8 yo son) : Topcon 3D OCT OD

 

The son’s SD OCT and fundus photo above are compared to those of a normal below. Note the macula thinning in the son’s OCT. Also note the absence of the all important PIL (photoreceptor integrity line RR#2). It appears that the son’s outer retina is collapsing onto the RPE in the entire central zone. The PIL is somewhat preserved outside the macula. The PIL should be present in the entire scan as demonstrated in normal scan below.
