Case 2 is an example of intermediate AMD with significant loss of the
retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). The MAIA image shows what appears to
be multiple soft drusen along with the RPE loss. The Expert Test describes
increased functional loss compared to early AMD with a lower Average
Threshold Index (23.7 db), stable fixation (P1-96%; P2-99%) and the
Percent Reduced Threshold Index increasing (75.7).
