Topcon 3-D OCT
- The PIL was present in the central 1-2 mm under the fovea but was absent everywhere outside the fovea.
- The presence of the PIL under the fovea predicted the patient’s normal visual acuity.
Electroretinography (Flash ERGS)
- Patient’s results were extinguished under all conditions.
Diagnosis
- Retinitis Pigmentosa
- Myopia
Disposition
- There is currently no treatment available for retinitis pigmentosa. (See Page 44)
- Careful follow-up every six months.
- Recommend genetic testing to identify the specific gene. (See Page 43)
