AF in Myriad Retinal Degenerations-Part 2 – Page 32 of 62
Case 7: Optomap® FAF Image OD AF reveals what appears to be hyper-AF drusen and some small areas of hypo-AF In the macula RE. The rest of the fundus appears to be normal and exhibits iso-AF.

Case 7: Optomap® Color Fundus Image OD Case 7: An 82 yo WM presented for follow-up wIth 20/30 RE and 20/40 LE best corrected VA. Drusen were present but somewhat limited to the incomplete ring around the fovea.
Case 6: Optomap® Color Fundus and AF Comparison OD and OS KEY:Color OptomapAuto FluorescenceMany of the large round and oval AF zones of hypo-AF are not predictable from the color images. The patient has advanced RP OU.
Case 6: Optomap® FAF Image OS The left AF image reveals hyper-AF in the macula, a finding better than the hypo-AF in the macula of the right eye.
Case 6: Optomap® Color Fundus Image OS Note somewhat similar findings in the left eye.
Case 6: Optomap® FAF Image OD The AF image above reveals very little remaining viable tissue.
Case 6: Optomap® Color Fundus Image OD Case 6: A 58 yo BF presented with visual problems OD greater than OS. She reported progressive, decreased central and peripheral vision with particular trouble at night. The patient mentioned that she has two sons with no apparent vision problems. BCVA was 20/200 OD and 20/40 OS.
Case 5: Optomap® Color Fundus and AF Comparison OD and OS KEY:Color OptomapAuto FluorescenceIt is difficult to predict the AF findings from the color fundus images. The large outer AF ring is virtually invisible to ophthalmoscopy. The diagnosis is a variant of RP or “Dart Board” RP OU.
Case 5: Optomap® FAF Image OS The OS AF is a very good match for the OD AF and demonstrates symmetry.
Case 5: Optomap® Color Fundus Image OS Note similar findings in the left eye
